Tiffany Larson

MSW, LCSW, RYT 200

Hello friends. My name is Tiffany and welcome to Peaceful Embodiment. I am glad you have found your way here and am happy to share a little more info about myself and the work I do.

I graduated with my master’s degree in social work from Brigham Young University in 2013 and I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Utah. Since graduation, I have spent several years working with teenage girls in residential treatment as both a youth mentor and a therapist. In addition, I’ve also spent several years as a medical social worker at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah.

Since my first exposure to mindfulness and the neuroscience research regarding trauma, I have passionately pursued a personal study of mind-body practices. It was this curiosity that led to a several month sojourn at a buddhist mindfulness center in New Zealand. My experience there, along with continuing education regarding trauma treatment and body acceptance, further fueled my interest in mind-body approaches to healing. Becoming a certified trauma sensitive yoga instructor through Saliya Life Institute in Thailand is one of the best decisions I have made.

I firmly and passionately believe that every body is a good body. I believe in the body’s incredible capacity to heal and in the strength of every individual. Life can deal us some significant blows and sometimes our body is the last place we want to be. It can be frightening, shameful, and uncomfortable. I get this from deep personal experience. To befriend your body and to feel safe there is the purpose of Peaceful Embodiment.
